Sexual health isn’t always easy to talk about, but at Pinkal Medical Aesthetics, we believe it should be. Every week, we meet men who have questions they’ve been carrying silently for months or even years. They may be noticing changes in performance, struggling with confidence, or looking for a solution that doesn’t involve long-term medications or surgery.
These aren’t casual concerns—they’re personal, and they affect self-esteem, relationships, and quality of life. That’s why we offer medically backed treatments like the P-Shot®, a regenerative approach that uses your own body’s healing abilities to support sexual function. In this article, we’re sharing what the P-Shot® is, who it’s for, and what it’s really like to go through the treatment—so you can make an informed decision, without pressure or guesswork.
The P-Shot®, short for Priapus Shot®, is a non-surgical treatment that uses Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) derived from your own blood to encourage better blood flow and tissue regeneration in the penis. It's designed to help improve sensitivity, response, and firmness in a way that’s natural and well-tolerated.
The idea is simple: your blood contains powerful growth factors. When concentrated and injected into specific areas, those growth factors can help stimulate repair in the tissues involved in sexual arousal and erection.
Because the treatment uses your own cells, there’s no risk of allergic reaction, and we’re not introducing anything foreign into your system. We’re just helping your body do what it already knows how to do—heal and rejuvenate.
There’s no single reason men choose the P-Shot®. Some are dealing with mild to moderate erectile dysfunction. Others have noticed changes in sensitivity or stamina. Some experience difficulty maintaining erections, and a few are managing conditions like mild Peyronie’s disease (which causes curvature).
In our clinic on Richmond Street in London, Ontario, we've also met men who are simply proactive about their health. They may not be experiencing dysfunction yet—but they want to stay ahead of the curve, especially as they move into their late 30s, 40s, and beyond.
These are the most common themes we hear directly from patients:
“I want a solution that isn't medication-based.”
“I’m noticing gradual changes and want to do something early.”
“I want to feel more confident with my partner again.”
Whatever brings you in, we’re here to listen first and guide you from there.
If you and your provider decide the P-Shot® is a good fit, the process is straightforward. We do everything in a private, clinical setting with a focus on comfort and professionalism.
Here’s what the appointment usually looks like:
Consultation – First, we discuss your medical history, symptoms, and goals. We’ll explain the treatment, answer questions, and make sure you feel fully informed before moving forward.
Blood Draw – We take a small blood sample, just like we would for any basic lab work.
Processing the PRP – The blood goes into a centrifuge machine that separates the PRP from other components.
Numbing the Area – A topical anesthetic is applied to the skin to reduce discomfort during the injection.
Injection – The PRP is injected into specific points in the penis using a fine needle. The entire process takes less than an hour, and most men say it feels more manageable than they thought it would be.
You can leave the clinic and return to your normal activities the same day. No downtime, and no restrictions—other than following a few care tips we’ll provide.
Some patients notice subtle changes within a couple of weeks. That might include increased sensitivity or slightly quicker response. For others, the difference becomes clearer over six to eight weeks, as tissue renewal continues naturally over time.
We usually recommend starting with one treatment. After that, we check in on how your body responds. Some men are happy with their results right away. Others may choose a second session for added benefit—or prefer to come back once a year for maintenance.
There’s no one-size-fits-all answer. As with most regenerative therapies, outcomes depend on your body’s natural healing capacity, your health status, and what’s causing your symptoms in the first place.
Yes, the P-Shot® is considered low-risk. Since it uses your own blood and doesn’t involve synthetic materials or pharmaceuticals, we avoid many of the side effects associated with other treatments.
That said, we still take every precaution. You’ll be seen by a licensed medical professional, and the entire process is done under sterile, clinical conditions.
Mild side effects—such as tenderness, slight swelling, or minor bruising at the injection site—can happen, but they usually resolve quickly without the need for any medications.
One of the most important parts of our job is helping patients understand what a treatment can—and can’t—do. The P-Shot® isn’t a miracle or a shortcut. It doesn’t reverse every medical issue or guarantee overnight changes. But when used appropriately and administered by qualified professionals, it can offer real improvements for the right patients.
If after a consultation we believe another path would serve you better—whether that’s lifestyle changes, medications, hormone support, or something else—we’ll talk honestly with you about it.
Our goal is never to “sell” you something. It’s to help you feel and function at your best—safely and respectfully.
